As a grey-ace individual, I absolutely love that authors are putting notes about the types of sexual content in their books (kinks, fetishes, etc), because it gives my brain time to figure out if I’m in a place to read that.

I’m so sick and tired of people being shocked that B&N, a giant corporation, doesn’t give a damn about their customers or authors. Like, why is this so surprising to folks? And why do they choose to continue to support them over indies.

I get that not every town has an indie, but like… come on

Ooh!! The First Sister is a great queer space opera! The Stars Too Fondly is a sapphic space romance and is just delightful. The Darkness Outside Us is the first a queer YA sci-fi series!

The same people who disparage YA fantasy will then tell me The Will of the Many is the greatest fantasy written in the last decade.

Clarification, they aren’t just hosting they were also the folks organizing, they just didn’t want anyone to know it???

I’m just like… what in the muted rainbow capitalism is even happening right now…

They’ve been calling our queer folks who don’t want to participate for not being “supportive of the queer community”

They have 251k followers on social but have refused to share the market on their socials because “only 1% of their following is local so it won’t matter” and they also didn’t put their name or branding anywhere on the market materials

They aren’t allowing the vendors to vend during their operating hours and instead are only running the market for 4 hours this evening after they close

Oof a very large national brand headquartered in my hometown is hosting a “big queer market” today. A lot of queer artists are actually not participating because of the way this company has been called out for treating trans employees, but I’m here to say the tea is piping hot

It’s taken me til my 30s to realize that knowing how to cook isn’t knowing how to make elaborate meals, it’s being able to say “I have a half carton of cream, butter, cheese, chicken, and tomatoes” and then figuring out how to make yourself dinner.

My resolution was to waste less food and to cook instead of relying on convenience/prepackaged meals. Tonight I worked late, but came home and was able to make a sauce using just 3 ingredients in my fridge and some leftover chicken.

It was super simple, but I’m like really proud.

So many good ones here!! I loved Dead Cat Tails Assassins and Kalynn Bayron is an all time fav!
