Imagine an AU where she stole the sword and the power, but after being sweet-talked into it by the new Sorceress, takes up the duty and legitimately becomes the new champion. Now she works with Teela to protect Eternia, striving every day to atone and earn the people's trust. (which is not easy).

I talked to Townsend Coleman when these reels came up, he told me they recorded 5 or 6 episodes before the axe fell. Given that Challenger was less than two months away, I suspect Ghost Ship was indeed the single episode that Toei always claimed credit for animating.

Certainly a lot more serious show than it was promoted as. Yes, it does center on three kids and a sidekick robot, but you have a starship commander faced with leaving her youngest son to die on a disintegrating derelict in order to save her crew (he makes it out in the end, but still).

This evening, after 6+ years of operation, the Sunbow Marvel Archive has exceeded half a million page views.

The thing that gave me hope there was the filming schedule: couple of days on the streets of London versus an entire month at Wells Cathedral, along with three days down Wookey Hole. Not to mention all the sets at the Amazon MGM studio that were picked up by drone footage.

Amazon MGM are supposed to be making a live-action She-Ra show, but who knows what's going on with that. In the meantime though, the most recent demo build for the beat 'em up game coming this year has her as the 4th playable character.

On a similar note, if they don't have Cringer/Battlecat in the MGM logo, they've missed a trick.

Either that or a super-secret mid-credits scene of Adora that not even the rest of the cast know about. 🤷‍♂️

We haven't spoke, but when these audio reels came up, I was searching fb for more information on the show when I saw the post about the model sheet book. As far as I can tell, about the only time any paper from the series has even been seen.
