Here’s something you might find interesting. At the Jack Kirby exhibit at the Skirball Center in LA they had Thundarr pre-production art I was unfamiliar with even though I worked on the show. Take a close look, Jack used an early character concept for Ookla. I guess Joe Ruby put it aside.

Wrapped up the first draft of my latest WIP at 1:45am, just over 92K words.

I write shaggy and loose, over explaining things, repeating myself, too much attention to needless detail. I hope to trim this down to 75K before I start sending it out.

80% of the way through my latest WIP I realized my planned end echoed too closely to another work.

So I’m scrapping my planned ending & just pantsing from here on in.

My protagonist just had an unplanned (by me) & unexpected (by her) chance encounter with antagonist. Let’s see what happens

To be honest, once I finish a project, I put it down & walk away. I’ve had my fun with the characters, now it’s someone else’s turn. As such, I don’t second guess what others do with the projects after I leave, so I have no opinion on who should do what next with them.
