I legitimately started the quote tweet with an attempt to explain, in common terms, why a vaccine that protects against ‘every virus’ is not a realistic goal… but the entire thing is so dumb, I don’t even know where to start. It would take 1000 words to explain all the ways this makes no sense.

I can’t get over the ridiculousness of this. What is this saving exactly? It’s not any more time to voice to text a message that you’re going to be 15 minutes late. What you’re compensating for is not lack of time. It’s a lack of humour, creativity, intelligence & relationship with your spouse.

Pretty sure a Good Wife would receive that jokey AI message and have all your useless shit waiting for you on the front lawn with the locks changed in the 15 minutes you were late.

Legit, it’s fascinating how much more we have accessibly written in English about Greek civilization than other concurrent civilizations. Not just big accomplishments but random shit. I mean, it makes sense but it skews our view of history.

This is a very important touch point for Indian culture. From here every Indian mother had an unattainable comparison point for all their children’s achievements.

Tweets by Bo Austin in my experience the problem with younger tech guys is really not what they don't know. they are very smart. they are however constitutionally incapable of knowing what they don't know. depending on the project, this makes them extremely risky hires the absolute smartest people I know know a lot, but more notable is that they are constantly moving things from the don't know they don't know category into the realm of things they know they don't know. the problem is that that's an attitude to develop and not a skill to learn. there might after all be a connection between — to use the idiotic terms — EQ and IQ. I've discovered there certainly is at an elite level at least

Berries lost 4-2 and there was no pierogi hot dog that I could find. But the Berry Burger was solid, as was the 9-Mile Saskatoon berry beer. And the Sundaes in the mini-helmets were an easy win / souvenir.

Real dilemma for me tonight is if I’m going to have the pierogi hot dog (cheese, bacon bits, fried onions, sour cream) or their burger that has Saskatoon berry aioli.

Chardon is another Saskatoon summer pop up ice cream shop in a parking lot. You can get hard ice cream but their claim to fame is vanilla soft serve dipped in various flavours. It’s good but I don’t think vanilla soft serve is our family’s favourite.

Yeah I mean, either he’s still got enough in the tank to be good enough or he doesn’t. So if he does, you sign him. But I’d rather wait at least half a year to make that call.

Ekholm especially is going to turn 36 before his next contract starts. If you sign him now, that extension has the potential to look bad by November this year.

If he’s having a good year, then sure, haggle over a 1 vs 2 year extension.

McDavid is expected though until it’s signed people will wonder.

Walman will turn 30 this season so an extension makes sense but if it’s too long you worry about a cliff in his 30s.

Podkolzin doesn’t seem a high priority to me.

Ekholm I wouldn’t re-sign before the season, at 35 & post-injury.
