We've been under a total fire ban for ages now, and this week we've got 3 forest fires raging and extreme heat and dryness.

Some people are still lighting fires so the province just raised the fines for having a fire during a fire ban.

First time offense went from $75 to $50 000.

I missed the unchecked box on my list of encountered bosses that I hadn't beat that guy with the monkeys, so I went right after Genchiro and got him on my first try which gave me enough prayer beads for a level up, so then I was annoyed, as that would have been helpful.

I actually started a Wedding flower hustle in the fall of 2019, which meant all my first orders were for summer 2020, and, well, you can guess how that went...

I got burned out on the retail aspect of the job. The work itself I loved doing, and I enjoyed the really busy holiday times even though we worked 12-14 hour shifts to get all the orders done. The sporadic service is great. It comes back like riding a bike, and the big event logistics are fun.

Same for the all the doom bands that start their albums with three minutes of single note feedback. No thank you.

I was a florist for many years, and as a result periodically do wedding flowers for friends and family. I've done a lot of weddings. Even the most chill brides have some opinions.

The smoke from both fires is blowing away from us. One thankfully blowing out to sea, but it's very dry here right now. Unusually dry, and there's a lot of people living in the direction that the second fire's smoke is blowing. Like, most of the population of the province.

Evacuation orders for communities on two sides of us due to forest fires. Keeping an eye on the Gov't alert page. (And doing guitar/shoe car tetris in my head)

The closing remarks of the Jump Rope competition are absolutely adorable. They invited the head of the international gymnastic federation and much to their surprise he actually came!

Today's Jump Rope competition stream has commentary that is explaining what's going on. Belgium also seems to have a pretty strong freestyle jump rope presence. The categories are still completely confusing.

Now there's a team of three. That's gotta be the bare minimum for this event. I would like to know what the maximum is.

There isn't much explanation in the commentary. This is some sort of qualifying round, but one team had 4 people, another had 13, so I'm very curious about the rules of this competition.
