Reacting to Labour's devastating loss to the Green Party in Gorton and Denton, Keir Starmer claims that only Labour can unite communities. I agree. He convinced Muslims to vote for a white working class woman representing a party led by a gay Jewish man.

Don't panic. 66% of voters in Gorton and Denton voted for progressive candidates to keep Reform out. That's worth celebrating.
It wasn't entirely fabricated and, by refusing to call it where it out in cases where it was genuine, we lost our legitimacy with the electorate.
Some of it maybe, but not all of it and we lost our legitimacy because we couldn't - or in cases like yourself adamantly refused to - recognise the difference

Great news that the Greens defeated both Labour and Reform last night, but now the word 'sectarianism' is being used to demonise Muslim voters who supported the Greens. Labour rightly took a strong stand against antisemitism - will they do the same against Islamophobia?
