I think one of the most consistent things I hear from new artists is "that woulda taken me HOURS if I were doin it" and that's the place you have to escape more than anything. if your skill-level is making you take like 4 hours to draw a single standing figure it's time to do studies

you gotta do GESTURE STUDIES you gotta learn a streamlined method for laying down poses and forms you can slap detail on top of IF EVERYTHING TAKES YOU ALL DAY THEN NOTHING CAN BE STUPID FUN. This isn't about developing better anatomy or etc this is about Learn To Draw Fast Buddy

when I ~push myself to my limit~ and I am drawing new things and trying to incorporate new techniques yes it also takes me hours and hours ~and that is why I do studies~ so that less things are New. When they are rote, when they are reflexive, they are play. And the faster you draw the fastr u study

I get clingy plenty, yes. I'm kind of possessive and have a hard time letting go, even if it's not always a mutual feeling.

Yeah it's just been really hard to climb that wall of "Man, it would be fun to do some body-part butt tf, or maybe queen's stallion" type shit when I've been so busy and drained of energy at the end of a day/week. It makes simpler ideas more appealing with what I can manage.
