Any luck reading its ring number?

The Black Stork at Boyton could be described as confiding! Must be one of the youngest Of its species to visit the UK, still with down on head and mantle.

The only other one I know of was a one day bird in June 2022 or 2023 at Denver Sluice

Roseate Tern at Welney giving really good views for its second day yesterday. The only tern present - on a remarkably date early and possibly only Norfolk’s second inland record.

And we can only watch from the sidelines with very little influence on these decisions, even though they have a critical impact on our migratory bird populations.

April 1st is a very early date for a Cuckoo to arrive in the UK as well!!!

Why don’t they just chuck in some pelicans and flamingos while they’re at it?

The young Glaucous Gull at its dead seal diner on the beach east of Old Hunstanton today - a typically fearless individual.

A Little Auk that appeared right in front of East Hide at Minsmere earlier. After looking like it was not long for this world, it seemed to revitalise and was last seen on the south side of the Scrape before disappearing- hopefully back to sea!

Best I could do from 5 Little Auk at Sheringham today. Otherwise large movement of Kittiwakes together with some wildfowl west and a few Bonxies, Little Gulls and a couple of GN Divers east.

Always nice to end the autumn with a Desert Wheatear!

Couple of confiding Meds at Gorleston boating pond today, including a one-footed bird at the rear - seemed to be managing ok

The presumed Amur Stonechat showing rather well at Trimley today. If only all rareties were this confiding!

After checking through 2800 Goldies at the eastern end of Breydon managed to relocate the American Goldie from Acle a couple of days ago with a small group of 80 GPs on the south flats a mile to the west - in the zone claimed by both Norfolk and Suffolk! Also mixed flock of 7 GWEs & 6 G Herons n-e.
