I just emailed their reference department, plus the LOC, British Library, NYPL, and my own library. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hive mind, I'm looking for a searchable list of the BRITISH casualties at the Battle of Bunker Hill. I know there were over a thousand of them, and I'm trying to track one fellow down. Family stories insist he died there, and I don't see his name on the list of American casualties.

This is our brand-new budgie, brought home to replace our little Lando Calbirdian. The little one is currently nameless and it’s not possible to figure out of it’s male or female due to its youth. We currently call it the Child.

I made up a word. That is, I think I did. It's polylector, also used as polylectorous. It's a description of those of us who read multiple books together. Has anyone seen it used anywhere but here?

Whew. I’m trying to get my feeds organized. After putting half an hour into making lists, I realized that I should just spend the same amount of time here every day adding to them and keeping them up.

A variation on the non-dairy pumpkin pie recipe I used last year is in the oven. I borrowed the idea of beating the egg whites to a peak to my mother’s old Fluffy Pumpkin Pie recipe. I don’t know where it came from, perhaps a pumpkin can.

Today, in the ongoing struggle that is life with inanimate objects, I found my keys in a pocket of my purse that I have checked repeatedly for the last five days.

For those who don't know me, I'm an old lady writer of neo-Ruritanian erotic romance novels. I have an unpublished series. Given the fact that self-publising and query letters to real publishers terrify me, it will probably remain unpublished. I've gone from stumbling to being a pretty OK writer.
