...cuz I've revised my views and my identity since I was at least 13. Self-reflected, took in new info, listened to others, recalibrated, repeat. From Christian to atheist, Republican at 18 to "independent" at 24, etc. Revised my identity my whole life - scary but necessary - and still try to. :/

I think part of the problem is, a lot of people have invested so much time and energy into their *identity* that they are afraid to change, thus they lash out. Sadly, my Dad raised us to be the opposite of the angry conservative Boomer he became (or always was). It's hard for me to understand...

Sounds like my Dad. He'll agree we need some kind of universal healthcare, etc, but he snaps back to his identity as a a conservative, "not a leftist". I'm probably not much younger than your Dad, raised in a conservative Christian family (and a cult), but I've gone full Democratic Socialist...

So sad to share that legendary colorist Tatjana Wood has passed away at the age of 99. Her pioneering painterly touch graced scores of DC & Vertigo series. She was truly one of a kind and a special friend. May her memory be a blessing.
