This game is actually fantastic honestly. Love it.

My hot take of the day is that saying "Maybe you should play a different game" isn't gate keeping, sometimes people are going into a game wanting it to be something that it isn't. If a game isn't for you, that's ok, and doesn't make it a problem with the game.

I do recommend watching gen v!! It's pretty important to the plot I think and the first season I really enjoyed and the second has a rough start but was pretty good by the end! Just don't watch s2 of gen v until you catch up on the boys

Why am I still watching these shows? Cuz I got invested and want to see the end. But holy fuck the writing has gotten SO BAD. It was never perfect but it really really really went downhill.

And I know this has always been in the show but the "haha look weird sex fetish things happening!!! Look that supe has a guy going up his wormhole butt hahaa!!! This woman's power is her bush isn't that so weirdddd omg" shit has gotten so old. Going for cheap shock value is so lame.

ALSO, The show makes points about corporations exploiting people's disabilities/minority status/queerness etc without understanding them. Putting them in cringe movies etc.

And then adds a narcoleptic character that's both portrayed completely inaccurately and just for laughs. HMM. Interesting.

Gen V/The Boys has fully forgot it was supposed to be parodying superhero media and is just now unironically doing the tropes it used to make fun of
