Playing Silksong has reminded that if I ever made a game it would be a metroidvania and that designing one is hard as fuck

Today's my birthday and I got the best thing I could have asked for. A week off from work to just sit back and enjoy everything else.

Like, trying to come up with defining traits for a character that will be impersonating other characters 80% of the time is a little tricky

Got a character I'm cooking up but they're a shapeshifter and thats tough to visualize sometimes

Bought the wife an old mtg precon since we're getting back into the hobby. Dug the old collection out of storage so she can swap some things out to try and make her favorite tribal work again.

I kind of want to build a commander deck but I am awful at any kind of deck building game. I just end up putting a bunch of stuff I think is cool in there

Just spent the last three hours writing out a plot for an rpg style game. Feeling good about it but you know it's time to rest when you're misspelling literally every other word.

I must have been way more tired than I thought cause I've slept my whole day away damn

I've been trying to hammer out this concept for a character all night and there's still just some aspects I can't form a solid picture of in my head. Trying to decide if the puzzle pieces just aren't lining up or if it's the base idea itself is just not coherent enough yet

Ordering dominoes at work at 1130 at night is a unique experience that I am afraid I could easily get used to. My wallet and waistline may not survive.

Welp, thanks to work my self confidence has taken a nice shot to the gut and I think I'm spiraling into a depressive episode. Not looking forward to going back tonight let alone the night after

Pulled a 17 hour shift thanks to nonsense. Ready to go drop and experience that "near death out of raw exhaustion" type sleep

Designing an rpg party is hard because what do you mean they can't all have superstar main character archetype energy

I feel like I've been on a roll creatively lately. It's kind of refreshing to have ideas that I'm consistently vibing with and able to actually put in writing

I am already done with the humidity this summer. I was hoping working nights would make it more tolerable this year but it just means it's even worse once I'm home

Finally signed the last bit of paperwork for our house today. Supposed to be done and moved in before labor day.

It feels good to be writing out new stories again. Plus it's a good excuse to reuse characters I got art for over the years.
