I was at a VRChat comedy club and got signed up (unwillingly) to do standup and basically had a panic attack on stage and was told for a first time it was good LMAO

it's hard for me to recognize my own skill level without feeling ashamed for doing so due to previous relationships and at times being outright shamed for doing so. I have a lot of people in my life now that regularly compliment my work and make me feel seen in social circles. genuinely, thank you.

I hope I never come across as ungrateful when I sort of lock up or get awkward when people compliment my work. my feelings with my art are really complicated due to a lot of baggage related to it, my feelings regularly flip flop between "yeah I'm the best" to "a three year old can do better than me"

I'm happy I'm comfortable just doing random bursts of art again

my relationship with my art has been rocky since shit happened in 2023-ish, lately it's gotten a lot better though and I have the people around me who've been supportive to thank for that.

It's little solace to at least acknowledge the military just does not have the forces to enact martial law in every major city in the US, but seeing how Isreal has treated Gaza, I genuinely wouldn't put it past Trump to use weapons of mass destruction on US soil if things get bad enough.

I can't deny that I'm happy I left the states and now know I was right to trust my gut and not stay another year like I initially planned, but honestly, I really, really wish I was proven wrong. This is heartbreaking to read at this point and I'm wondering if I'm going to have a home to return to.
