The statement is distastefully plastered with logos for Nintendo and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as with a render of Mario from Mario Kart World.

Love how many different ways The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter and its themes can be adapted, and how many of those stories are absolute bangers. Is that more due to how compelling the original is, or how good the adaptations are? 🤔

Yep, I feel the same way! It was cool seeing one of my favorite niche series become more "mainstream", a lot more people were tuned in on FE after Awakening. But it never quite hit the same for me - never felt an itch to replay Awakening/3H, unlike how I do for the GBA games. And that's fine!

To me, Awakening was a sort of paradigm shift for FE. The game felt kinda easy to break with skills/pair up and a heavy focus on support rank, maps weren't as interesting. It was still a decent grid-based strategy RPG, but it didn't quite have the same feel. The older ones were just built different!

Got in some new artist proofs today, courtesy of the amazing Nathaniel Himawan! Getting extra space with the 2x2 card canvas definitely paid off here, absolutely in love with the extra detailing!

Made my first Calling day 2! Placed at 47th in LL despite a supreme lack of preparation. Sad I won't be able to play in the CC BH tomorrow, but am excited to be playing Nuu again!
