Right now, each delivery brings hope and relief to thousands of people. In a region where borders open and close from one day to the next and communication is extremely challenging, this outcome is a real achievement.

🚚 Today, our partner organization Misr el Kheir confirmed that our food aid has finally arrived and is being delivered to families at a time when, according to the latest data, the majority of Gaza’s population is facing a severe food crisis on the brink of famine.

📦 In March, we anxiously awaited news on whether 9,600 humanitarian parcels with non-perishable food, worth €30,000, would make it across the border into Gaza.

After months of uncertainty, we finally have confirmation that our food parcels have crossed the border and are on their way to families facing severe food shortages and daily insecurity.

We repaired the homes of 371 families, supported a mobile medical team, secured medicines, distributed food aid, and provided hygiene supplies for children and elderly people.

🙏 Because of you, our Friends, we can stand by people in their hardest moments.

In the first days after the explosion, we deployed our humanitarian workers to Lebanon, where they, together with partners, provided direct assistance in the devastated streets.

For many affected families, the daily struggle for a dignified life is still a harsh reality. Thanks to the Friends Club, we were able to respond immediately.

The explosion destroyed entire neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, and the livelihoods of thousands of families. Even though five years have passed, Beirut has not fully recovered from this tragedy. The blast was followed by an economic collapse, the COVID-19 pandemic, and later, war.

❤️‍🩹 Today marks five years since the devastating explosion in Beirut. On August 4, 2020, a massive blast shook Lebanon’s capital, killing more than 200 people, injuring over 6,500, and leaving hundreds of thousands without homes.

✅ People in Peril has supported the people of Gaza with food, hygiene supplies, and water containers. Thanks to the generosity of our Friend's Club members, we’ve also helped provide drinking water to displaced families in temporary camps—and we stand ready to continue our support.

As a humanitarian organization, we emphasize that support for civilians must remain impartial and independent - regardless of political context. We call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, unrestricted access for aid deliveries, and the unconditional release of all hostages.

Supplies of food, clean water, and medicine have reached critical lows, while life-saving aid remains stuck at border crossings.

☝️ The conflict in Gaza has escalated into a large-scale humanitarian tragedy that deepens by the day. Civilian casualties continue to rise, with tens of thousands dead and hundreds of thousands injured.

The suffering of innocent people must never be used as a tool to achieve military or political goals. Humanitarian aid must reach those who need it most. Forced, permanent displacement is a violation of international humanitarian law. Our shared humanity should know no borders.

⚠️ Some of these shelters were in terrible condition—no heating, no equipment, no sanitation, not even entrance doors. In some cases, kids had to spend the night in cold, damp basements.

During air raid alerts, which can happen up to six times a day—students move to the shelters and continue their classes there.

We’ve renovated air raid shelters in five educational institutions across the Poltava region 🏫 - specifically, special schools and a rehabilitation center where children with disabilities and special needs not only learn, but also live.

But the children keep studying, and thanks to this support, they can do so with a little more peace of mind,” shared Ms. Nadia, the principal of a special needs school in Maiorschyna, Poltava region.
