I tried to write as a professional archivist about what watching those movies does to me. Beyond the archival echoes, they offer a breath of humanity, of empathy and generous, gentle resistance. It's life affirming. You see the absurdities of a wasteful society without any judgement. It's soulful.

The numbers are insane. Especially when you consider the astronomical underreporting rate.

In France, in 2022, 118 women were killed by their partner or ex-partner....with between... 379 and 420 recorded attempts of feminicides. The stats are terrifying .
