Oh yeah, the Colt thing always bothered me. My mind just has a hard time wrapping around how awful the feds treated him prior to his 1st departure, to going back and being a petty patty for them now when AEW has continued to reference him in a positive light (ie. his match with Dustin).

It's silly within the context of the real world trash that's happening, but I want my goofy entertainment to be a nice escape without nonsense.

He has a revisionist history (he booked himself out of the main event scene with the title stipulation, the disconnect with the other storylines for the "Codyverse" elements), plus the MAGA adjacent events, all to criticize at a time when he has been given everything after being back in the fed.

Cody Rhodes helped get me back into pro wrestling after talking with him at a DDPY summit in early 2019. His excitement for the launch of Double or Nothing, and the idea of an "alternative to WWE", hooked me and I've been enjoying AEW ever since. It makes his comments all the more odd to me. 1/3
