I have a den of kobolds I need to give personality, and am fully considering using this chart for that exact thing. A player of mine is considering the same for her Kobold and his clutch.

In D&D rulings, to make this idea work better, I made a Beast barbarian with some hunter ranger. The rolled backstory and traits fit the classes better. Beast barbarian giving more aid to swimming, survival skills, and "rudeness." While The Ranger added to the "independence" and "Primal" tech.
