I'm Jewish. I'm also Mancunian.

Every other national party leader was interviewed by Laura Kunesberg during their conference.

Maybe the BBC thought as someone who also supports Palestine - I had nothing to say?

A rally organised by Tommy Robinson should be a slam dunk for a Labour government.

Most people will recognise it as being led by the far right (and will not identify themselves as such). Violence is predictable too.

The PMs and ministers should have been ready to respond immediately.

Mike Johnson wants us to stop framing the existential threats to our democracy as existential threats to our democracy. He wants us to think a weaponized DOJ, masked ICE kidnappers, the military occupation of cities and the extortion of universities and the media are "simple policy disagreements."

Today people went around my neighborhood in north east London spray painting St George’s crosses onto people’s homes. Many of these houses have non British people living in them.

This is getting very dark, very quick.

The only excuse for this mindset is that the truth is too unbearable. It is no less grotesque and unforgivable for that.

"What we're seeing now is the most horrific stage of Israels starvation campaign... Israel has been using aid as a way to bait civilians & has been killing civilians who have been seeking aid..."

Certain people seem far more concerned that the Afghans were provided with asylum in the UK, rather than the somewhat larger issue of an data leak which put approximately 100,000 at increased risk to their lives and the MoD covering it up. We continue to abandon people needing safety.

The final nail in the coffin would be for this woman to be prosecuted for disclosing information on the Epstein file and sent to jail for life with Ghislaine.

Lifting the District Court’s injunction will unleash
untold harm, delaying or denying educational opportunities
and leaving students to suffer from discrimination, sexual
assault, and other civil rights violations without the federal
resources Congress intended. The majority apparently
deems it more important to free the Government from paying employees it had no right to fire than to avert these very
real harms while the litigation continues. Equity does not
support such an inequitable result.
* * *
The President must take care that the laws are faithfully
executed, not set out to dismantle them. That basic rule
undergirds our Constitution’s separation of powers. Yet today, the majority rewards clear defiance of that core principle with emergency relief. Because I cannot condone such
abuse of our equitable authority, I respectfully dissent.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court allows the Trump administration to move forward with the abolition of the Department of Education. It gives no explanation for its order. All three liberals dissent. www.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

Consider this ‘defence’; if a murderer is in a school, it is justified to blow up that school and kill the children not to neutralise any threat or to achieve any military objective but purely to punish the murderer.

Gaza: Doctors Under Attack A forensic investigation into Israeli military attacks on hospitals in Gaza

I did not want to watch it; I forced myself to and it should be obligatory watching. The BBC decision not to air it is terrifying & shocking, particularly in light of Israel’s refusal to allow the media, including the BBC into Gaza or its prisons.

Full-blown militarized raid on horseback,
military tactical vehicles, and soldiers on foot with a perimeter set around McArthur Park.
Looks like a big show of force by ICE/Border Patrol.

More than the entirety of the former budget of Trump abolished USAID to be spent on detention centres alone. A nationwide apparatus of camps capable of deporting 1million people per year (with no due process).

What % of this £billion allegedly paid to “households with a foreign national in them” is paid to Brits? No doubt he knows the answer to that question... Utterly malign, as he well knows.

“Households with foreign nationals”???? Current Tory spiel: “don’t go partnering up with no foreigner - like…it’s not right” so you’ll be lose benefit entitlements…Incoherent, racist, nationalist nonsense, as we’ve come to expect.

Jenrick and Hannan are tweeting in their classic careless and obnoxious form, putting people’s lives at risk. What they don’t perhaps realise is that so called ‘lefty’ judges are very much the exception; mostly judges are ultra-conservative to the benefit of the incumbent Government.

This is the Home Office behaving exactly as intended:

The visa fees paid by a grieving widower to bring his wife to the UK are kept. Despite the face that she literally died before she made it to UK soil.

We need to rip this broken institution apart.
