Everything I've stated already counters and outweighs these silly little internet argument statements you keep making. There is nothing to justify because there is no guilt or wrongdoing. You just keep using loaded statements & fallacies. Im no longer going to feed you the acknowledgement you crave.

Nah, I'm involved in tech consultancy and make it a point to steer companies away from infrastructure level full AI integration. Even left my previous company over them promoting it while ruining our best work practices, productivity and output quality trying to integrate it.

What tantrum? Ive been speaking against peoples vitriol after falling prey to outrage stoked by gamermags & influencers for engagement. Awards are all empty money schemes anyway, shallow entertainment hanging off real media from the Oscars to the Raspberries. We need to focus on the real fight.

Very much so. Underground water, once a protected national asset for nature/citizens, being drained dry by server farms. Rent & inflation go up near them, luxury cities for staff built over former (once protected) forests & hiking trails. Massive carbon costs. The public bearing the cost on the grid

the thing is, my principles are to focus on the real issues, not on over reactions to middling things like this. Office tools and placeholders are not worth our time or focus, especially not when we've been pointed here by adrev chasing gaming news. Focus on the main source and this disappears too.

and also, ive been reflecting and you are someone sincerely against AI and as such not someone I want to bicker with when we have a common enemy who is much worse. Which is my entire point about all of this, it has us fighting over the line we drew in the sand rather than focusing on real AI issues.

I've pretty much said what I was here to say. Namely that all of this is a profound waste of energy without meaningful change against AI corpos, aimed at an imaginative and creative work made with blood and sweat. There are more deserving targets that couldve been shaken.

Nah this is more, exasperation that all this energy is being wasted here achieving nothing against something well done and valuable when it could be directed more productive at actively awful AI activity. Its a vast over reaction while things which deserves said reaction is ignored.

I despise the use of deGenAI, itll never reach the heights they're claim (just like NFTs) but if its been used as a glorified office tool and for placeholders, its a nothingburger. All this massive amount of energy being wasted here performatively, is better directed towards real pursuits against AI

Then you're following a faulty black and white extreme path and denying yourself a rich experience for no meaningful change. Any system or decision making with no nuance or flexibility is self sabotaging with misdirected energy. The game will remain loved after your misdirected vitreol burns out.

Ontop of my prev statement, none of this calls for the overreaction people are having about this towards the game devs. Six months ago it came up and was forgotten because it was nothing. The only reason noise is being made now is because people are pissed it won so well & are looking for excuses.

The indie game awards have ruined their own merit if thats their decision because nothing in the completed game contains AI and nothing about its value, the rich story and gaming experience it brought to players had nothing to do with AI content as there was none to encounter.

Are there any actual AI assets in a game with a legendary experience story made by their own hands and art and coding? That matters more than your cheap attempt at over simplification.

Did they create a legendary game with no AI assets in the game? Yes they did. That carries more weight.
