I'm going to drive a bit to see if it's come back after half a day. I have an appointment booked for a couple weeks out to have them take a much closer look, but if it doesn't make the noise again I'll probably cancel.

The car still -drives- fine. Nothing weird with the engine/braking. *shrug*

I'm not so optimistic to think whatever was causing the noise was fixed, but whatever IS causing the noise, is such that it doesn't seem to happen all the time? It's also possible something may've been loose or weirdly aligned and their inspection adjusted it back in place? I dunno.

They did a full visual inspection: under the hood, the brakes and axels, the undercarriage. They took it for a drive, did figure-8s in the parking lot.

Could NOT reproduce the noise.

They told me as much, and all the time I drove yesterday afternoon, it still HASN'T made the noise. I'm stumped.

Oh, I never gave an update on my car's weird noise. Maybe car knowledgeable folks here can help.

Brought it to the auto place, it was making the noise, and the dude there heard it, and was like "we'll get it into the air and take a look". They spent about 30-45 minutes checking it while I waited.

Have I played enough Guild Wars 2 to break its hold on me and return to streaming this evening?

...maybe. We'll see.

I couldn't do much for October outside of sketches but I wanted to at least try making a Pokésona with Jolteon since he's my fave of the eeveelutions so: Bongolteon (?)

Ryan is dressing himself up for Halloween as a tamer from the Digimon animated series. He still has his red and yellow colors, although they're much more pronounced, as well as gloved hands, goggles over his forehead, and a digivice hanging around his neck. In the first panel, he's thinking, "This costume isn’t bad... but I still don’t look quite like a Digimon tamer. What am I missi- OH!" Suddenly, he leans forward and starts scrubbing, fluffing, and messing up his hair with his gloved hands, rapidly swinging them back and forth. In the last panel, he's standing up with his arms on his hips proudly, grinning, "There, perfect." His hair is fluffed up enormously compared to what it was before, resembling an anime character. Off-screen, Nes comments, "Oooooh, going as a McDonald's employee for Halloween?"

Ryan got into Digimon this year, so his Halloween costume is a little tamer than usual. 🦝✨

Nes (a muscular anthropomorphic kangaroo in a white tank top and dark grey shorts) is watching TV with Ryan (an anthro raccoon in a red t-shirt and tan shorts). In the first panel, a shot of the TV is shown, as there is a cartoonish, partially decomposed wolf on-screen as a presenter (the face is a white wolf skull, with green fur around the sides and down the neck; he's also wearing a tuxedo with a bow tie and tech glasses). The presenter shouts, "And when he woke up, his Bitcoin, his Ethereum, and all his apes were gone! AAA-HAHAHAHA!" He continues, "What an NF-Tease of an ending! HEEHEEHEE! Scaaaarry, waassn't it Mmmmheheh!" He concludes, pointing a finger in the air as he squints laughing, "Well stay tuned after these messages boys 'n gurgles, as I have another spooky decentralized tale to share with you all! HEEHEHEHEH!" The comic cuts to the second panel, with Nes looking very annoyed as he turns to Ryan lounging on the couch beside him. "So that wasn’t a typo in the title? This show actually blows." Ryan, also looking unamused with a look of regret on his face, replies back through his teeth, "Yeeeaaah, let's not watch Tales from the Cryptokeeper ever again."

Halloween is one of my favorite times of year, even if I don't go particularly crazy for it. It's a goofy, silly holiday that allows people to BE goofy and silly for a little bit. We need more of this in society.

Okay, I'm at least getting my vaccinations done today.

I left the auto place, went to my doctor's office for a walk in vaccination appointment, but I've been here for an hour and a half and I dont think this appointment is happening...

Despite all the good that happened at the beginning of the week, the rest of this week has worn me down and I can feel myself about to lose it.
