It seems like such common sense, and in a world where billionaires are in such a minority in a society governed by “the people,” it’s a wonder equal taxing seems to never happen. I guess the only conclusion is that the “of the people” part must be a farce and the system must be rigged.

I once watched a moth fly into a flame and thought, “how lucky that humans are so smart that they would never be so dumb.” I think I was too proud because after the last month, it looks like we, a society built on an affinity for intellectualism—the Enlightenment, are a moth flying into the flame.
