Et pendant ce temps là, le peu que les IAs peuvent faire décemment est totalement automatisé, et tous les juniors se font jeter... La grosse galéjade ça va être dans 5-10 ans, quand il y aura plus de juniors pour renouveler la workforce, et que tous les vieux séniors partiront à la retraite...

Ah bah c'est pas nouveau les tech-bros qui prétendent révolutionner une discipline sans aucune idée de comment ça marche.
En ce moment ça pullule en post-prod A/V, ils sont très doués pour faire mousser les execs et les journalistes, et au final c'est les artistes qui se tapent le taff quand même...

C'est un peu comme quand on est amateur de brutalisme ou médiévaliste, c'est la dèche donc on fait avec ce qu'on a... Ça n'excuse pas grand chose, même dans ces conditions ça n'empêche pas d'avoir un regard critique sur le reste, j'en convient, mais ça explique au moins un peu...

Le monde de la SF audiovisuelle a gros budget est un desert assez triste et morne pour les amateurs d'ISVs, les connoisseurs d'ingénierie et les goûteurs de hardware classieux, donc quand il y a quelque chose qui s'en approche un peu, que ça soit le stuff des méchants ou pas...

Je pense que ce qui n'aide pas c'est que la majorité des bazars montrés dans Avatar (en premier les ISVs) sont des trucs au potentiel de coolitude infini, mais qui sont totalement ignorés par la SF à budget, et quand ils ne le sont pas, ne reçoivent jamais de traitement autre que celui d'Avatar...

Mais ça fait parfois peur de voir le gouffre de compréhension entre les HFY-eurs et la réalité...

Après, il faut dire que le premier film est aussi coupable de danser autour de son propos sans jamais trop se mouiller, ce qui n'aide vraiment pas...

... a quel point cette démarche ne marche vraiment pas. Je ne sais pas trop si c'est la faute a la relative maladresse de Cameron qui (selon moi) est un couard qui devrait aller au bout de sa métaphore, ou si c'est juste un manque massif de littératie médiatique dans cette frange du public cible...

J'irais même jusqu'a dire que je pense que c'est précisément le but, d'attirer les fans de ce genre de trucs pour leur montrer a quel point c'est pas fou et super problématique...

Un des trucs que je trouve particulièrement fascinant c'est de voir de façon particulièrement consistante...

Good question... In previous years, before the great exodus out of Twitter, it was magnificently organized by @velocitycatte.pizza, but I haven't seen any hints from them that they're still doing it this year.

Quite like that one, it reads to me as essentially the same effect that USS Vengeance from Star Trek Into Darkness aimed for... Make a big ship, lotsa angles, add fancy negative space, ???, profit !

Besides that, as far as I'm concerned it's all private discords... Making one with all the buddies is generally what I've found to work the best...

ToughSF (which you're already in IIRC ?) can have its meh moments, but I've found it to overall be more positive than the opposite. Worlds channels in there are nice topical nooks, and Member Art is always a relatively nice place. Beware of the topic channels though, there be goblins...
