“Casting” actors as the NPCs in your home TTRPG games is severely underrated.
Players falling for an antagonist’s tricks because they love the actor playing them? Delicious.
Plus: the great shorthand that comes from filling out a character with the assumptions your table has of a performer.
The Blue Planet Jam is on! Come make some cool stuff to celebrate the new edition of @biohazardjeff.bsky.social 's hard bio sci-fi RPG.

This is not a difference of opinion or the impartial enforcement of the law. Our government is failing in its primary duty to protect its people and must be held accountable. Action is necessary for the common welfare. Please engage in ways that are safe for you, but please engage. 3/3
Accordingly, I am compelled to add my tiny voice to the chorus of those calling out the current US administration for sending mask-wearing secret police against its own people. The abduction of children and the murder of protestors is objectively wrong. This is not a political issue. 2/3
For as long as it’s been a genre, science fiction has served as a mirror for seeing ourselves with new eyes. It's been a medium for expressing hope and challenging ourselves to do better. Anyone who has read any of the editions of Blue Planet knows that we have tried to uphold that tradition. 1/3
My friend Joe must have every indie game ever published, and he is on a quest to have us play them all. This is kind of Nausicaa meets UVG, and it’s pretty awesome.
Hadn't planned on running any official events at GenCon 2026, as I really enjoyed being responsibility free last year. But, feeling some hype, I decided to jump in. Just signed up to GM an Upwind session Thursday and a Blue Planet game on Friday. See you there!
D:WfA really evokes the source material. It’s got lots of simple decisions, but with strategic depth. It flows quickly, and it’s got fantastic table presence. It’s a must-play for any gamer who’s a Dune fan.
I realize it sounds unlikely, but I didn’t realize until after the original Blue Planet was published it was basically just an aquatic Dune. Makes sense I guess, because Dune is my favorite sci-fi story.
Makes sense then too that Dune: War for Arrakis is rapidly becoming my favorite board game.
I just want everyone to be Robin Hood.
Raise your hand if every RPG campaign you run, regardless of the original intent, just becomes allegorical anti-capitalism...
Perfect in every beat!

Yay! I was sad and getting frustrated you had to wait so long.

Captain Pike and crew?
An afternoon of ISS Vanguard with my wife. I love the intention of this game, but sometimes it can just be grueling.
@biohazardjeff.bsky.social Blue Planet just docked.
They haven’t posted a BP porter page yet, but you can email them through it.
Thanks for the interest! You can reach out to our publishing partner Gallant Knight Games to order.
