Just a reminder that Muslims have been on this continent since the first arrival of non-Indigenous people. They were among the first generation of Americans, and have been here ever since.

Ohhhhh to be in a state that valued the humanities/social studies!

Just did the New Deal in essentially two periods. It's bananas

I feel like in APUSH we have to go faster and faster every year and I have to cut more and more things I used to do and in no way shape or form is this course like a college course if we are being honest with ourselves.

I don't know what the solution is, short of breaking this course apart

High school kids are honestly the best people and if you aren't around them much you're missing out. Inquisitive, resilient, absolutely hilarious. Not afraid to call things out that need to be called out. They are the best of us. #iteachsocialstudies

Police said the call came from Dayton or was a Dayton number. I hope they catch those responsible. The kids were scared.

Rocky River High School lockdown lifted after phone threat; other Northeast Ohio schools report similar incidents Rocky River High School went into lockdown after a phone threat, which officials suspect is part of statewide swatting incidents, though no real danger was found.

This completely sucked. 0/10 experience, hands still shaking. I hope they catch those responsible. www.wkyc.com/article/news...

Good morning teachers. It is only March. Drink water. Eat real food. If you can, lock your door for 15 minutes at lunch to breathe, stretch, nap, whatevs. Don't forget the healing power of 5 minutes of fresh air. We still have many rivers to cross. Let love be our foundation.

Those three downed jets run around $90 million each.

It cost $20 million a year to operate the food kitchens serving 816,000 people in Sudan.

Students analyzing primary sources from 1920s on paper. Students analyzing primary sources from 1920s on paper.

Great conversations today in APUSH using @retroreport.org lesson on Andrew Mellon’s policies. Excellent primary source analysis! Pulled it into recent issues like potential of Warner Bros/Paramount merger and how that may relate to this historical moment.

Eighty-four years ago today, President Franklin Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, which consigned 125,000 Japanese Americans to incarceration in concentration camps throughout the country. We commemorate this Day of Remembrance every year in hopes that this never happens again.

History teaches us that the greatest harms often begin with the quiet acceptance of the unacceptable. I have seen where that road leads, and I will not walk it again without resistance.

Photo of Frederick Douglass, who some say was the most photographed person of the 19th century

Happy birthday to one of the greatest, Frederick Douglass. Born into slavery, he didn't know his actual birthday, but chose to celebrate it on this day.

Please read his books and essays; please teach your children his story when they are old enough to understand.

Wrapping my head around the lengths powerful people are going to protect powerful people who are sex abusers/traffickers/pedophiles.

History won't be kind to those defending & downplaying the Epstein collaborators.

I say arrest them ALL-but at the very least, they shouldn't be in the CABINET FFS
