-Day 14 in Japan | THE FINALE-
Went to see the Senso-ji Temple, and then went on an Imperial Palace walking tour with an English tour guide, and even made friends with some fellow UK folks! And our final stop for the trip was teamLab Planets, which was truly breathtaking!! 😊💙🇯🇵🏯🪐

Not much of a retro game collector myself but this is definitely one store every gaming fan should visit when in Japan! Some really cool treasures can be found in here 😊🎮

-Day 13 in Japan-
Went for an explore around Akihabara, which is pretty much Japan's huge pop-culture hub! Notable shops I went to included Super Potato Games, the Square Enix store inside Animate, and as recommended to me by @dreamlandgem.bsky.social, Yamashiroya! 😊💙🛍️🇯🇵

Didn’t take this picture, but perhaps my single favourite thing inside the museum was this Bouncing Totoro zoetrope that span around with strobe lights (to simulate animation), and it genuinely looked like real-time stop-motion 😊📸

-Day 12 in Japan-
Today (or yesterday as I’m posting this a day late lol) was my much anticipated trip to the Ghibli Museum!! 😊💙🇯🇵
Couldn't get footage inside but lemme just say that seeing everything was an experience unlike any other, we really are blessed to have Studio Ghibli on this planet 🙏

-Day 11 in Japan-
(late to post this on Bluesky lol)

Went to teamLab Future Park where I got to draw my own squid that was displayed on an interactive wall! 😊🦑
Later had another explore around Nago, and ended the day with a swim in our hotel's rooftop pool! 😊💙🇯🇵

-Day 10 in Japan-
Today was our much needed "chill-out day" as we've had quite a hectic schedule over the last week (plus the upcoming final 4 days)! Also I finally started playing Ōkami HD! 😊💙🇯🇵

Plus there was a mantis outside at one point which freaked me out 🤣

-Day 9 in Japan-
Went to the Nago Museum and the Busena Marine Park, which had both a glass-floor boat ride AND an underwater observatory! Therefore quite a lot of fish & coral were seen today! 🐠🪸💙🇯🇵
Also acquired a real-life #Splatoon3 Splat Brella water gun! ☂️💦

Waking up to the "Special Release: Donkey Kong Bananza" playlist being added to #NintendoMusic was defo not on my Japan holiday bingo card 💪🏻💙🎶🇯🇵

Still grateful we reached out to each other back in 2021 🥹🫂

-Day 8 in Japan-
Arrived at our accommodation in Okinawa, already loving the tropical vibes of the island! 😊💙🏝️🇯🇵
Also visited two Aeon malls and found #Splatoon merch in their respective Village Vanguard stores, and finally acquired the famed Orange Inkling plush 🧡🛍️

Where’d you get that Kirby figure cus I really really want it 🥹

-Day 7 in Japan-
Woke up to an incredible view of Hiroshima, and then flew over to Naha as we'll be in Okinawa for a few days this week! ☀️🇯🇵
We then explored Naha for a few hours and went to Tower Records, where I obtained the Splatune 3 and Joe Hisaishi Symphony albums! 🎶💙

-Day 6 in Japan-
Visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Park today, didn’t get much footage as it was very intense, but still quite eye-opening.

Later visited the Taito Game Center and played #StreetFighter6 in their arcade, and visited a posh bar in our hotel! 😊💙🇯🇵🥂

-Day 5 in Japan-
Went to the Samurai & Ninja Museum which was super impressive, then had a wander around Nishiki Market, and explored the Nintendo Kyoto Store!! 🗡️💙🇯🇵

-Day 4 in Japan-
Today was my much-anticipated trip to the Nintendo Museum! Loved seeing all the prototype controllers and the concept art gallery, and I even played on the big controllers! 💙🇯🇵

We weren't allowed to take pics inside the Isao Takahata Exhibition (aside from the entrance), but seeing all the old sketches, storyboard notes, and animation cells was super mesmerising! Glad I went as it’s the last weekend of the exhibition being in Tokyo 😊

If you ever go to Japan, make visiting this place an ABSOLUTE MUST!!

-Day 3 in Japan-
Went to TeamLabs Borderless which was genuinely one of the most stunning experiences I’ve had in a long time, and then went to the Isao Takahata Exhibition AND the Tokyo Skytree! 💙🇯🇵

Also visited the standalone Kirby Cafe merch store, two Pokémon Center stores, and the SEGA Store too!
The two big wins for merch were the Forgotten Land soundtrack and a life-sized Splatterscope!
And ended the day watching the #NintendoDirect at our hotel!

-Day 2 in Japan-
Had a “healthy” breakfast at Kirby Café and explored some shops in Tokyo Solamachi, crossed the famous Shibuya Crossing, and went to the Nintendo Tokyo Store!! 💙🇯🇵
