none who moved out of the previous team and company did it out of their own accord. the whole team was laid off. man this is so disheartening, i love contributing to making games but not in a way that makes me feel like im enduring not enjoying

now i understand ..i think.. quite well why staying in one team/company for many years is a blessing and a curse. for me at least i stayed 7 yrs with the same co/team bc i became accustomed to it and it suited me. moving to a new place takes a lot of adjusting, and comes with a lot of shock

me suddenly finding my voice at 8pm on a friday while absentmindedly (stressed) waiting for the office coffee machine to give me my 5th coffee of the day

i have actively said many times that this game is more like a tech demo than an actual gaming experience. yes it works fine, it functions. but is it fun? is it worth consumer's time and resources? does it give smthing that other competitors out there cannot? no.

here, the definition of fun is not collective, its a top-down order.
live ops has no structure. concensus is 'if its operating it must be good (subsistence)' instead of 'lets grow on top of what we have' (thriving)

needed somewhere to write this.. i like free, fun early dev stages while also ticking all the checkboxes and always, always thinking about what the actual consumers (gamers) want. i also like organized, quick, cost effective live ops built on years of what was honed during early dev stages.

i am going to take a break during the lunar new holiday and i an not going to contact anybody nor receive contacts. i am tired. i am going to play cod and watch marathon vids and eat good and sleep good
