Unpräzise formuliert und schwer nachvollziehbar. Abregelung kann aber eine sinnvolle Flexibilitätsoption mit hohem volkswirtschaftlichen Wert sein. Interessenvertreter wären mM gut beraten sich für die beste Nutzung dieses Instruments einzusetzen, statt generell abzulehnen.

To modelers, the paper is relevant due to its theoretical framework. Our models often produce numbers that we know are difficult to implement. That’s why we use methods like Modelling to Generate Alternatives (MGA) or assess „feasible potentials“.

While these results on the local social cost of wind turbines are interesting, the underlying framework should also be of interest to energy system modelers and anyone working on assessing renewable potentials.
