Are you going to be at PAX Unplugged? I'm doing a panel on Riftbound with Jimmy Wong! Lots of cool stuff about the development of the game, Spiritforged (our 2nd set), and the fuuuutuuurrreee :D

This is incorrect - you can’t exhaust a gear until it is on the board (i.e. after you play it). Cards in your hand or on the chain can’t be used to pay for resources unless they have rules text explicitly saying so (we haven’t made any yet)

Go ahead and use these packs for play as normal, and please take photos of any impacted packs and ensure the photos include:
1) All cards in the pack with rarity gems visible
2) Open wrapper with barcode, and
3) Paper w/ "Riftbound QA - (Date)". (2/2)

As we head into launch, we're still working on this issue and will share more detailed info soon, but we don't want to leave you confused going into release weekend. (1/2)

If we confirm it’s affecting a meaningful number of packs, we’ll offer players something to make it right for this set—alongside making long-term fixes, likely starting with Set 3. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more. (4/4)

We know consistency matters and we want to make sure every pack feels great to open, so we’re continuing to dig into the rarity distribution issue with our production partners. (3/4)

At the booster box level, rarity distribution is landing as planned. But we know that getting a weak pack can feel bad, even if it balances out in the box. (2/4)

Hi Riftbounders! We’re investigating a potential collation issue impacting rarity distribution with individual Riftbound: Origins booster packs. Early checks suggest that a small percentage of packs include fewer rare cards than intended, with others including more. (1/4)

We've monitored the data closely (how old accounts are, unique IDs, etc); so far, the product has been landing in the hands of real players. In fact, 80%+ were from a Riot ID made before 2025 which is a good sign. But it's not a 'solved' problem - we're continuing to watch (5/6)

Second: we see the concern around bad actors with the online preorders. We want Riftbound to be accessible to you, so we've implemented a couple of tools to fight there including requiring a Riot account and only allowing 1 purchase per Riot account. (4/6)

Our goal is make sure everyone can play the game and get access to the product. We'll continue to monitor demand and adjust our plans as needed. (3/6)

First up: We hear you on amount of product. Demand is high and it's been difficult to get product. To address that, we've already hit additional reprints that will hit stores between launch and end of year (timing varies by region). (2/6)
