While reading this, I couldn’t help but be reminded of my Good Boy, Kiba. He was a heckin mess, but he rescued me from the darkest days of my life and I am forever grateful. 🖤

Literally just finished Good Boy (and am currently drying my eyes.) What a great fucking story. Small and oh so mighty, just like Riot. Fuck yeah, Neil. Happy birthday, dude!

I have to say, this one tore my heart out. American Rapture has been my favorite read of the year so far. Brilliant. Horrifying, and brilliant. 🤘🏼

Slammed out my word count goal before running in the Dover, NH Apple Harvest Day 5k. I hit a personal record then proceeded to have a super chill rest of the day. 🤘🏼

I’m back on this social media thing and ready for October. Thornwillow, my WIP, still isn’t finished 🙃, but I will say it is soooo damn close and is now a much darker story.
So many bookish events to check out this month too including Merrimack Valley and one I’m checking out in Brooklyn! 👻

So, until October, I’ll be at the Thornwillow Academy for the Arcane trying to learn how to stop the end of the world. Stay safe, be kind, but take no shit. Keep a candle nearby, because you never know when the lights will go out. 🕯️

Something’s gotta change for the better. The world is a very different place than it was in 2019 when I started all this, so my methods of creating and maintaining some semblance of homeostasis need to evolve. So, in the meantime, I’ll just be writing and submitting as many short stories as I can.

I’m going on a social media hiatus for the rest of September. It’s usually a bad month for me and this one is proving to be a bear. I also feel the need to just write. I just want to finish writing just one of many horror novels I have on the burners.

Am I alone in having a moderately concerning tbr stack beside my bed? Like topple-over-in-the-night-and-crush-me-like-a-bug level of concern? 😅

As long as I can stay on target with the novel, (back hammering away at the apocalyptic/dark fantasy series Thornwillow again as it’s the closest one of five to being finished) and get Dark Concepts back on track for the spooky season, I’ll be all set by the end of September. 🎃🍂

Another Friday, another short story finished. That’s three written in August, so I’m stoked.

My yearly birthday pilgrimage to Salem brought us to the site of the Salem Pioneer Village where Hocus Pocus was filmed. Books were acquired, a candle as well, and there was much rejoicing. (Yay)

Woke up to a house cold enough to wear a hoodie while I write. Happy birthday to me. 🎃☕️

Made some serious progress today with a Civil War era dark fantasy trilogy I’ve been working on for almost seven years. This thing has my whole heart in it, so I’m taking my time and not holding back.

And yes, I totally pspspsed at her like I would a cat because they are cats with wings, and she flew away.

Snuck up on an owl and got the look I absolutely deserved. 😅

Had a really weird dream involving an owl the night before so seeing one fly in front of us on a walk was interesting… 🦉

I had a great time last night at the release of The End of the World As We Know It. A tiny unexpected Camp Necon reunion emerged, which just added to the awesomeness. Looking forward to reading through this beast of a book. 🖤🤘🏼

I don’t normally let shit get me down but this past week and a half has been pretty bad. Hoping to turn it around for my birthday this Friday, which I specifically took off work. I just wanna drink coffee and write all day without having to wake up at 3 AM. 👻☕️

New episode of Dark Concepts incoming this week. Running behind, but still running. I’m trying to get it out by Thursday, but next Monday at the very latest.

It was so damn good! Hard to talk about without spoiling stuff unfortunately. Absolutely would see it again.
