I think you're wrong about that. In haiku I'm trying not to explain, and a lot of people might not know what that environment is, so your words and photo add a lot. I just can't say it in the haiku.

Ha! No, I had no idea. I got frazil from a list of natural phenomenon with unusual names I was working on. Frazil, runnel, sastrugi..... virga, seiche, rime. I don't think I've ever been in an Exxon. All Mobil stations here.

Frazil and riffle sounds like it could be one of those blue drinks at the gas station.
