the same week trump admin said nursing is not a profession we went to thanksgiving dinner with my trumpy inlaws. all the women were dental hyg or going into nursing. I was dying to ask how things were going.

Follow up to my introvert post. We like to be part of celebrations and gatherings, but we like being behind the scenes. We'll proofread, research, take photos, all that stuff that the extroverts hate doing. Some of us are even okay with being left to clean up after everyone is gone.

how on earth do we end up with people so rich while people are losing their homes over insurance denied medical bills or living month to month with no retirement

Your introvert friend or family member doesn't hate you! They're just not keen on so much interaction.
Think of it like we have different taste buds. We're both having potato chips. I think mine taste too salty so I don't eat as much. You don't think they're too salty so you eat more. That's it.

That urge to stare up at the numbers in a full elevator, that's what introversion feels like all the time.

It's not shyness. And when we're alone we're not lonely. I'm more lonely when I'm around others than when I'm literally alone.

People claim to be introverts but most of them aren't. We do not look forward to, enjoy, plan, or relish hanging out with other people. Even the idea of being with others is already exhausting before it has even happened.

I wasn't going to buy anything this weekend but I did succumb to a youtube review of paul rubens watercolor and bought myself a small set that was on sale.

looked up the definition of naturalized citizen. is trump saying he would revoke his wife's citizenship?

I have them all marked on my calendar but that's about the extent of it.

I have a whole list of holiday markets but when I think about leaving my house to actually attend one, I just don't feel like it. am I a grinch? is this an old age thing?

I like the idea of other people having christmas traditions but I feel very little pull to do it myself. I love the tradition of lights, but I don't necessarily associate it with christmas. I just like pretty lights at night. I like looking at city lights and stars.

we had our own family Thxgiving dinner tonight. highly recommended, doing it a few days later. much easier to shop for the side dish ingredients. might call it December Eve dinner.

young deer stuck in neighbor's fenced area so I propped open the gate but that scared them to the other side. now I'm going to spend all day worried about the deer. yes I told the neighbor.

she's evil.

A few artists have posted nasty emails and comments they have gotten, and IT ONLY JUST OCCURED TO ME that they're faking the nasty comments and looking for support. I feel dumb.

the whole process of big game hunting could be replaced with big game photography. it's almost the same process, with the exotic location, fancy gear, camo clothing, capture, and you can hang a photo on the wall as your trophy.
the best part is the animal gets to live.

i don’t eat meat so i make my own stuffing, oven baked as a casserole. it’s on the menu for this weekend.

I don't remember the 50s because I didn't exist yet but I was an early avid reader as soon as I was able. just today I was remembering that I was 2nd place in the county spelling bee at age 8 (!!) having misspelled "phenomenon."
