Almost all mental health problems and mental illnesses are more common in autistic people than in the general population. This new publication by R . C . Psychiatry is an excellent resource for information and practical matters surrounding autism and mental health www.rcpsych.ac.uk/mental-healt...

Extremely concerning ongoing #PublicHealth #SEND #MentalHealth issue yet to be addressed.

Dealing with the screening and assessment backlog also requires investment in support and treatment options.

This is brilliant. As a SEND parent & nurse I really welcome this! I also urge we consider how digital transformation can affect the services neurodivergent people access. The movement to remote support needs to ensure that staff have the skills to understand the communication needs of autistic ppl

This is also great!

The RCN are in a fantastic position to champion education for nurses in remote clinical decision making and digital inclusion!

Thank you for that feedback @digitalnursecymru.bsky.social.

I completely agree - remote consultations have their place, but their use certainly needs to be carefully considered, especially for CYP and SEND.

More than happy to share findings along the way! I know equity and diversity is key in your approach to the manager programme.
