Took my first plane journey today !

London Gatwick to Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands.

Having a week away in Fuerteventura in the very warm sunshine with my family.

Class 73130 seen on the East Kent Railway Today…

73130 is a unquie locomotive, as it is the only remaining Class 73 to retain Scharfenberg couplers from its Eurostar days, between 1994 & 2007 it was used to rescue Eurostar trains in the rare occasion of a train failure.

The usual Thursday commute to Hollingbourne. The days are getting shorter, and sunrise is getting later, so quiet a bit of the journey is in the dark. Although the sunrise as I walk between Maidstone barracks & East is always a delight.

Class 56049 is seen making itself known on the approach to Higham this morning, working 6Y85 Hoo Junction Up Yard to Halling NR Colas.

Class 73/9s were unavailable, 212 & 119 were pulled into to assist.
