NO OTHER CHOICE: Terrific movie. Alternated deftly between a slapstick comedy and a tense thriller. Clever stuff. No idea how this didn't get a single Oscar nomination.

André Burakovsky, Frank Nazar find redemption, reward in Blackhawks’ OT win over Mammoth "It's been hard," Burakovsky said. "It's been hard to find the back of the net." But late in the second period, down a goal, he did.

Jeff Blashill stuck with André Burakovsky throughout his seemingly endless drought.

On Monday, the veteran winger finally rewarded his coach.

GOAL: Nazar wins it. Redemption. 3-2 final.

Nazar gets a breakaway in overtime but loses the puck. That was the first time the Blackhawks had even touched the puck in OT.

But now they're getting a power play.

We're headed to overtime. That's at least a point in four of their last five games for the Blackhawks.

After dominating play for the first 16 minutes of the third period, the Blackhawks suddenly got hemmed into their own end for a couple shifts. A somewhat frantic Commesso save keeps the game tied.

Per Natural Stat Trick, Blackhawks are winning the high-danger-chances battle 12-4 at 5v5. Vaněček has been keeping Utah in the game.

Not in the NHL!

Connor Bedard has 12 shot attempts, a team-high four hits, and is 58 percent at the dot tonight. Vaněček has robbed him a few times.

Vitek Vaněček robs Connor Bedard for the second or third time tonight off a Ryan Greene feed.

Crouse takes a run at Kaiser after a whistle and a quick but heated scrum takes place. It's been a scrappy one tonight.

A lacrosse goal, at that! And a huge smile of relief from Burakovsky, who had zero goals and one assist in his last 19+ games.

GOAL: André Burakovsky. At last. 2-2.

Ilya Mikheyev just had three incredible scoring chances on one shift. Incredible saves by Vanecek to keep this 2-1.

But it FEEEEEEEELS wrong.

(We could have had SLC. We should have had SLC.)

So here's my very important problem with Utah. I use three-letter abbreviations while taking notes throughout the game. CHI. WPG. MTL. Etc. The three-letter abbreviation for Utah is UTA. Which just looks like a typo rather than an abbreviation. This is very important. I am not a crackpot.

Mangiapane gets into it a bit with Clayton Keller after the whistle. Weegar chimes in, too. Mangiapane bringing a little sandpaper tonight.

GOAL: Utah gets it back as Dylan Guenther captializes on a flash 2-on-1 stemming from a Vlasic turnover at the point. 2-1 Utah.

GOAL: Ryan Donato banks one in off a net-crashing Andrew Mangiapane. It's Mangiapane's first goal with the Blackhawks. 1-1 .

A Bronx cheer as the Blackhawks fling the puck on net from afar at the 12-minute mark. First shot on goal of the night.

Whew. At least he didn't wear a tan suit to a press conference, amirite?

Yeah, but dude, did you see what happened next?

GOAL: Utah up 1-0. DeSimone shot from the point hits either Grzelcyk or Hayton and gets past Commesso. Blackhawks still don't have a shot on goal (Burakovsky hit the post).

Nearly nine minutes into this game, Utah has one shot on goal and Chicago has none.

I miss Milan.

Burakovsky misses a wide-open net on a tap-in after some pretty passing by Sam Rinzel and Frank Nazar.
