Look at all of the gear packed on this raft for a 2 person plus guide trip. The trip begins in Lee's Ferry, Arizona and normally takes 15-16 days traveling 240 miles and through 100+ rapids. Once you start you either make it to the end at Lake Meade or are air lifted out by helicopter. Trip cost is around $6,000 per person. Photo taken in 2020

Just some fun off road fun in Arizona, photo from 2021. I always get a kick out of the number of 4WD trucks that are never used except to run through a mud puddle when no one is looking so that they can impress everyone with the amount of mud on their truck. This F350 dually works and plays hard. Even though at the time it was my daily driver and the tow vehicle for the RV that I lived in for almost 5 years while touring the US I was not afraid to put it in the dirt. The truck carried a lot of spare parts, fluids, jacks, shovels, boards, blocks and chains for all 6 wheels. I did not just have a spare tire, I had the tools to remove a wheel and dismount the tire from the rim and install a patch or tube as needed even in the middle of the desert. #21 on Explore, May 13, 2024
