True! And yeah, it's really frustrating... but thankfully it's headed in the right direction at least? Hopefully they can keep ramping things up...
The latest data I could find was from 2020, so take that with a grain of salt, but Metro had 4.2 million service hours in 2020. So the city funds a small percentage of service, ~5-10%. How Metro fixes the shortage, idk, ik it's getting better, but that's the main factor in service limitations rn.
Of course, because of this, the STM has money they can’t spend on service which is why it's being used for other transit related purposes like capital investments, and of course parts of it have been proviso’d by the council for many district-specific purposes.
Totally agree, but the constraint on service hours is not city funding, it's Metro 's ongoing driver shortage. The overtime rate as of 2024 was around 32%. If the city could purchase more, they would. Metro certainly wants more service too, they just simply don't have enough drivers.

Love this Aurora 88 Anniversario fountain pen. Made for their 70th anniversary in 2017, I’ve had it for 7 or 8 years now, and it’s been through a lot!

The 14k flex nib on this Scribo Piuma fountain pen is absolutely amazing. Apparently made using the same machinery as the old Omas Extra Flessibile nibs, it makes me glad that people don’t have to go hunting for old Omas pens if they want to enjoy premiere modern flex.
Qatar is probably the only sprint race I truly enjoy because the drivers really push the car to 100%. Weird ending today though lollll

They have moved to a new location with a bit more space. Was very crowded this year still but lots of people were masking - con flu was frequent at pen shows even before covid. This year there was one covid case at the show afaik that was it, thankfully. It was a lot of fun.

I'd probably keep the Furore Grande in Wild Celluloid. It's unlike any other pen I have, it's a beautiful material and it has a number eight gold nib!
