I appreciate that, thank you. I was moreso just highlighting the absurdity of some of the things my mind goes to when it has time to wander. This stuff used to eat at me, but now I just find it funny.
I can usually just laugh this stuff off these days and take it in stride. The fact that my writing from years ago feels so distant in quality means that I must be improving, and that's what I try to focus on.

It's like saying someone can't have more than 10 favourite albums, but the person you're referring to is, like, Anthony Fantano, who listens to anything and everything under the sun. Who the fuck cares?
I've received a good number of comments saying that I consider too many games I've talked about all-time favourites, but having a list of about 100 games out of the couple of thousand I've played in my lifetime shouldn't be that difficult a concept to grasp. I just like a lot of different things.

I haven't played a main series Pokemon game since Sun and Moon, and even then, I didn't finish it. I've wanted to play another one but the Switch games weren't cutting it for me. For those that have played those games, how are Wind and Waves feeling for you just based on that first trailer?

I really wish it didn't take me two months to release my first video of the year, but in fairness, that Tears of the Kingdom video was a huge undertaking and I needed the time off. I feel refreshed going into this year.

The games are all about telling a story and developing a bond through the lens of a rail shooter, and getting all of those elements right is essential to carrying the essence of the original game. Both remakes feel like they never left alpha.
Lots of people, myself included, do not feel they adequately convey the weight of the original experience. Low-quality assets and missing effects make the game feel unfinished. Sound effects do not feel as impactful, etc
And yet, after almost six years, the Zwei remake somehow looks and feels worse
