A crow is picking up peanuts in its beak. It lowers it's legs and spreads its toes so it can get as low as possible.

The crow, now low to the ground, turns it's head to the side and guides the nuts into its beak.

One nut is in the back its mouth and the second is grasped in its beak. It starts to rise again

Or a little asshole of the herd - that's up to you to imagine. He's dark brown and white, with some dark stripes on all the legs and tail. The background is dark and simple, and there's a crescent moon above the horse.

IT HAPPENED. My jealous hummingbird friend perched a few moments on my fingers when he came down to snack from the hand feeder. He was even lighter than I had expected!

(And yes, I washed my hands thoroughly after, he’s an outdoor friend but still a wild creature.)

Crazy volume of birds ringed at Ngulia Lodge in recent days: 2438 Afro-Palearctic migrants yesterday included 1113 Marsh Warblers! Attracted by floodlights in misty conditions, birds are caught through night and day. Not bad for a patch of Kenyan inland scrub! 🪶
