I think the news report was that the chair hire/room setup was an additional cost, on top of the per head, and that was why the total was $3200. Still ridiculous. The venue obviously wasn't suitable if chairs had to be hired.

There are a few Thomas trains around Japan. One of them is on the Fujikyo railway to Kawaguchiko. I got on it quite unintentionally, but it was quite fun inside.
