Now, he's available as a foster-to-adopt pet, so we can continue managing his care while he heals in a home. He’ll need someone patient who understands that trust takes time, but he’s worth the wait. 🐈

At first, Sporkie kept his distance. But slowly—thanks to our compassionate team of caregivers—he's started to accept affection on his own terms. He's learning that he's safe. ❤️

Sporkie spent over a month wandering one of our team member’s neighborhoods—injured, alone, and unsure who to trust. When he was finally brought to the APA, he was covered in painful wounds and tested positive for FIV.

On Give STL Day (May 8), we need your help to continue offering treatments like this to more pets in need. Your donation will directly fund FIP treatment and ensure that more animals receive life-saving care.

Dr. Garcia says, “FIP used to be a death sentence for cats, but now we have real hope. This treatment is a game-changer for shelter medicine, and I’m proud to offer it to pets who need it most.”

Just one month later, his health improved dramatically, and his condition no longer progressed to the fatal symptoms seen in untreated cats. Even better, Mouse was adopted into a loving home, where his treatment continues under the care of our veterinary team.
