I know people will say “but I want get an answer either way.” But when you’re applying for 100s of jobs — because that’s the market is right now — getting a rejection email is useless to me.
What’s worse than a job rejection email? One that comes months after you applied for the job and forgot it existed. I know automated emails can be part of going through applications, but can we stop doing this please? Unless you want to set up a screening or an interview, don’t bother emailing.
Trying not to fall into the despair of wanting to burn down humanity and start over.
