I don’t think LLMs have much of a future in the arts; music, video, cinematography, etc.

it’s just like, I want music and art created by real human beings. I don’t understand why anyone would want anything else. This is why I listen to music. To connect to other human beings.

Canada and countries in the E.U. are wise to boost their research post funding to lure top scholars from the U.S. This is a once-in-a-lifetime brain drain from the United States.

Yes, Some Adults Do Need to Be Revaccinated Against Measles A new measles outbreak — along with a population improperly vaccinated in the 1960s — has many Baby Boomers wondering if they need to be revaccinated.

"The recent measles outbreak in the Northwest has sent demand for the MMR vaccine surging. Anyone who hasn’t been vaccinated is urged to get the vaccine, but do people who have already had it need another dose?

For a small subset of adults, the answer is yes."

My main piece of advice to students and early career researchers is to hang in there and to talk to your peers and mentors. Everyone is struggling in one form or another in their research and teaching and we can provide support to each other during these unprecedented times.
