As I mentioned elsewhere, the last three books I've read (or still reading in the case of the third) are 1984, Starship Troopers, and Dune. All three written prior to 1976. All three entertaining (and, in 1984's case, extremely important) reads.
I asked for three books I'd never read before for Christmas. They were 1984 (published in 1949), Starship Troopers (1959), and Dune (1965), and I've enjoyed reading all three of them. That take is so incredibly stupid.
