The problem with the 90s dance theme this year is .. sometimes the music doesn’t translate to good ice dance music. You can’t pick “are you ready for this” and skate slow and hesitant and sluggish” know your ability before your music. Some programs are massive hits.. others 🫣

This is insane.. Gregory needs to go back and watch his skate again Li. Did Li have the tech content? No.. was it clean? Yes. Was PCS lightyears better than Reshtenko? Yes, spins infinitely better too adding GOE where Gregory lost GOE. Absolutely correct placements #SkateToMilano

Note the rotational lift level 2. Not 4. Likely because of the slight hesitation during change of position in the rotation. That’s my guess. That cost them big here too.

Character step ! Indicates not all req of element met. For Sweden I have absolutely no idea what. Possibility include not going end to end being short on one side, being 2m apart or further in step or repeat steps of previous step sequence.. all imo are non issue #SkateToMilano

Oo boy.. I need to look at the judges score sheets to have an informed opinion about ice dance. Off top of my head.. I did notice errors with the Swedish team while watching. Do I still think they’re better than all the teams who skated up to that point? Yes. #SkateToMilano2026

Wang/Liu 🇨🇳 very creative choreo in spots, lifts. Program lacked in speed in areas. Lost lots of levels. Totally agree the Hungarian team beats this (which they did in the fd) #SkateToMilano2026

Do I think Soucisse/Firus 🇮🇪 skated pretty much their best two programs we have seen in like a decade ..yes.. do I think it still needs more? Yes. More lines.. more polish, more extension. Choreo and performace were pretty good..some first qtr changes needed #SkateToMilano2026

Akopova/Rakhmanin 🇦🇲 were shocking (to me). Huge throws. Excellent event for them.. 122.99 in the fs is quite good. 186.84 overall, nothing to scoff at. Now they need to work on the second half of the program and SKATE it. They looked tired and timid a bit. #skatetomilano
