I do enjoy that the cannabis shop on the west side of Saint John is right beside a Warhammer game shop

Quit ChatGPT: right now! Your subscription is bankrolling authoritarianism | Rutger Bregman As a historian, I’ve studied the major consumer boycotts of history. We can take down ChatGPT and send a powerful signal to Silicon Valley, says author and historian Rutger Bregman

There is a global boycott underway against Chat GPT. Open AI is working with the Pentagon and ICE. They have donated $25 million to Trump. They are working for the authoritarians. People have the power to resist and send a message to the toxic tech bros.

As you pay more at the pump today, as you pay more for food, as you worry for those stuck in war zones, as you wonder what kind of world our children will inherit, remember this: this is the cost of racism and misogyny. This is what happens when human rights are not enshrined solidly in law. So vote

I get what people are going for with the "Draft Barron" stuff but I think it would make the point better if it was someone Trump knows personally

Celebrating the end of week 2 of the new job. Rough week due to weather and illness and personal junk but good to get the first paycheck and to be able to pay the rent and other bills for the first time in a while.

A legend! I remember bringing pages to her walk-up apartment on the UWS, her ink bottles, the small recliner where she worked in front of the tv. I loved visiting and listening to her stories, though she insisted on rewarding my delivery with a small chocolate. RIP Tatjana.

Pencils from a comic about Lou Reed

Heading home from a nice late afternoon to early evening in the studio, trying to make it a habit to work on my own comics here every Sunday night. And more ideally but this is for drawing with the analog tools, I can do digital anywhere.

It's hilarious when Americans pity my Norwegian tax rate. And yes. We pay more to the state. In return, we get free healthcare, free college, and 49 weeks of fully paid parental leave. We do not have to crowd-fund our cancer treatments. Your 'low taxes' just mean you pay private corporations a premium for the privilege of still going broke when you get sick. Our system is an investment in human dignity. Yours is a GoFundMe waiting to happen. The math is really not that complicated.

Home and chilling tonight after my first week at work in quite a long time. It’s all classroom training so far but the material is interesting and I’m quite enjoying it, so yay. Proud of myself.

Still a ways to go before I feel general economic security but things are headed in a good direction.

Call your house rep and tell them to support HB 2540 which will increase the amount disabled people can save from $2k to $10k and remove the marriage penalty where you lose your only source of income if you get married regardless of how little they make. Switchboard: (202) 224-3121

The cuckservatives working with the Epstein kids to separate Alberta? They should specify what nation they think they’re unifying

Had a lovely first day of work, I’m basically training to be a specialized travel agent which is cool for someone who loves travel and wants to travel and who might become very motivated by the prospect of cheap travel as a perk of employment

Stoned and ranting about how there used to be an entire store that sold CD-ROMs in a mall where I worked circa 1994. Though I now I think of it at the time London (Ontario, not the real one) was a big retail test market, I assume because of Western.
