It's not just a good idea, it's the law (at least it is with respect to naturalization for people with indefinite leave to remain; the qualification needed is to demonstrate mastery of English, Welsh or Scots Gaelic)

Quite a few of the asylum seekers we support are actually taking Welsh lessons but none of the English people I know who live here have either started doing that or actually seen it through in any way.

Someone I know recently reported their change of address, and their benefit payments were immediately stopped: no letter, no explanation. When they finally got through to someone on the phone, they were told this is normal while "address checks" are done. It's been weeks 😞

No one from [DHS] could stand in…presence of…Monstrance holding…Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in…presence of Christ. …been able to do for detainees for…past…written into…law, was refused… "Father, forgive…ones who do not know what they are doing." "Have mercy on…souls of those who know exactly what they're doing.
