The US TikTok Ban, the RedNote Moment and China
On 23 April 2024, the US Senate passed a bill forcing the Chinese company ByteDance to choose between divesting from its prized social platform TikTok, one of the dominant apps among Americans aged 18...
TikTok may survive, and RedNote's newfound popularity may come and go, but what happened last week was nonetheless meaningful.
