Rayana 🎨 Working on vGen commissions~

She's wearing a celtic torc because I don't think I have ever seen anime characters inspired by old celtic culture wearing those even though they're such a common archeological finding. (Well, some greek inspiration too, lowkey.)

I'm lowkey trying to make my own style shine here but it still feels a bit too sharp because I was never one with much patience for digital brush work.

I keep wondering "what more details can I add to this?" but doesn't it feel kinda finished in terms of overall design? Maybe I'll move on to the weapon she's supposed to be holding and the visuals around her.

Let's put it this way: I wanted level 100 to be meaningful for combat, not just a medal or useless 'oh look I'm a whale' bragging rights which isn't even fun. I play my units because of a genuine passion for combat and gameplay. But this is just a middle finger to players who like skill expression.

I will even have access to level 100 as soon the 6.0 drops, unlike most people, because I have my share of C6s. But not even I am pleased with this and in general it just feels like I'm enabling a shitty system by supporting it...

That said you cannot really upgrade a unit beyond C6R5, and that's precisely why, right now, it would be the perfect timing to enable level 100 and new skills for old units. The way they've decided to do handle with those masterless fortuna just feels shortsighted and it's genuinely disappointing.

Powercreep for most part doesn't bother me as long as I have ways to make my fave stronger and clear endgame, which is sth I've been able to do with Tartaglia consistenly since 1.2 through Cons, Weapons, Artifacts, and right supports. You can clear if you're really invested in it. +

The only thing Lain got wrong was believing it was possible to go back and disconnect from the Wired.

Some TV anime shows truly have become classic. Serial Experiments Lain and Psycho-Pass are among those few titles the more I grow up and rewatch them the more it sinks in how truly prophetic they've become with time.

But just like in Emanationism and Neoplatonism, the more distant it gets from the original source of light, the further these surrounding powers get diluted.

The Fates (Norns) are also present in Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen of which Genshin takes some inspiration from, with key figures like the Alberich, Irmin, and Rhinedottir, Nibelung himself, so I don't think this is completely uncalled for. (I mispelled Norns as 'Nords' up there, my bad)

There's just a lot of rules of 3 (Holy Trinity). I think a thought process like this could help explain all those triquetas. All shades wear them.
Paimon in particular seems to be the only with a dot in middle of hers. Whether this hints at her being the sustainer or the One (both? Lol) who knows...

Maybe they counted four (actually five if we count the crown itself) because this is supposed to correlate to the five Archons of the Abyss in Gnosticism. The five Sinners.

If they aren't the same entities, still, the same way Nibelung has once created the 3 moons to look after Teyvat, the Usurper too decided to come up with the shades to replace their function in the world of Teyvat... Except in his case it was 3 shades +1, the sustainer.

Life (Creation), Time, Death.
The Morai parallel the Three Goddesses of Simulanka and Moon Sisters.

In that regard.... they've already connected Rhinedottir with Naberius.

I have talked about this before, but it's because there's a direct correlation between the 3 shades featured in that teaser and the Nords, or Morai(Fates) in greek myths. They're the trinity. You see it in Wicca too, the triple goddess.
