The Fates (Norns) are also present in Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen of which Genshin takes some inspiration from, with key figures like the Alberich, Irmin, and Rhinedottir, Nibelung himself, so I don't think this is completely uncalled for. (I mispelled Norns as 'Nords' up there, my bad)

There's just a lot of rules of 3 (Holy Trinity). I think a thought process like this could help explain all those triquetas. All shades wear them.

Maybe they counted four (actually five if we count the crown itself) because this is supposed to correlate to the five Archons of the Abyss in Gnosticism. The five Sinners.

If they aren't the same entities, still, the same way Nibelung has once created the 3 moons to look after Teyvat, the Usurper too decided to come up with the shades to replace their function in the world of Teyvat... Except in his case it was 3 shades +1, the sustainer.

The Morai parallel the Three Goddesses of Simulanka and Moon Sisters.

In that regard.... they've already connected Rhinedottir with Naberius.

I have talked about this before, but it's because there's a direct correlation between the 3 shades featured in that teaser and the Nords, or Morai(Fates) in greek myths. They're the trinity. You see it in Wicca too, the triple goddess.

The more I look into the Shades, the more convinced I am the so called 'fourth shade' was always meant to represent a threat to the other three. Since the number 4 literally is an unlucky number in CN, that's such a funny concept. xD

I genuinely thought it was exclusively an Uk think, so imagine my surprise to realise ti's the entire EU too. I cannot verify my age on twitter at all, but what I could do over there was setting my country to the US. Poof, it's magically fixed. lol

Rarely a story succeeds in giving me such a sinking feeling in my heart.... Music, storytelling, writting.... it's all delivered with such a delicious dark tone. Every single time I think this game has reached its peak, they go ahead and prove me wrong. It KEEPS getting better and better.

Phrolova's quest managed to make me experience a deep sense of *grief* that hasn't gone away since I've finished the story and that's something I can't say many stories have managed to make me feel.... let alone a gacha video game...

To make a villain character not only likable but also playable, gachas have the irritating tendency of having them switch sides or being morably ambiguous at best. But here? They really said "Fuck that". LMAO
